Bruges, Brussels and Ghent

Belgium is my favorite country without a tropical beach in the world. Bakery items here are on another level of deliciousness, with waffles and chocolate that are probably the best in the world. The medieval, biking friendly city of Bruges is just a joy to explore and everything you need is high quality and within walking distance. Being car free, really made it quiet and peaceful in a way that few places in the world offer. The food I had in Ghent was a bit better, and definitely both the best waffle and hot chocolate I've ever had were in Ghent, but ultimately it's was so much bigger that even with the cobblestone streets, it didn't have the same charm as Bruges. Brussels was even larger, but the center square was very charming, full of shops selling Adventures of Tintin comics by Belgian cartoonist Hergé and of coarse, waffles and chocolate.
